Thanks Doug, I've heard about pulling the line off the reel and turning it around and putting it back on. I personally just started using braid last year. I still use mono on some reels

that is what I do. Usually get 2 full reel spools off a 250 yd supply spool, that way once turned around get 4 full reel spools off 1 supply spool

I have seen the Braided line for sale on Temu , but because it was so cheap i was skeptical of it. Has anyone else tried it?

momoi Diamond Braid has been awesome. I use it both on my backcountry, snook and redfish gear and my Pompano surf gear.

Myconventional surf caster I use 29# titanium. I have a 300 yd spool, good because they don't make it since Sufix bought out.
out. Any time it is stressed, I'll replace 50 yards. It is easy because the Avet holds 400 yards . Four cutoffs equal 1 respool. For my spinners I have 20 to 65 # braid. I change that every couple years. Shocking get changed daily or weekly depending on load.

I have been doing this for many years. Most of the time I run it half a year and flip it and run the rest of the year then re-spool with new line, but I run only about 3 cast lengths of braid and the rest a mono backing so I only use about 60 to 80 yards of braid a year per rod.

So how often do you guys change your braided line šŸ¤”

I do the same as Doug, I get two seasons at least, I do turn it around when it gets too faded or old looking to me, I also use fluorocarbon leaders and replace it as needed

Power Pro 30# on all my reels, 4 seasons including ice fishing. I fish for pike, musky and walleye mostly. Very durable.

With wire leaders then. Those all have sharp teeth!

Leaders only when casting large glide baits in musky water. Then Iā€™m using 50# braid. With the 30#, no leader and few bite-offs. Braid is tough.

I agree the Jerry Brown hollow core I fish with is soft supple and very abrasive. Fishing only three to four feet fluorocarbon 30lbs leader of 20lbs Maine line gets well worn on the mangrove roots while fishing snook, redfish and trout with live bait.

For a leader I use 30# floro but all it has to endure is maybe musky teeth. Funny thing, we have big musky and pike hitting jigs and 4# test. With several witnesses, it was a 3/4hr fight but the 50ā€ monster came through the hole. Anyways, that aside have you tried to nip off braid with fingernail clippers? I carry special little scissors now. Tough stuff.

With Braid I use a pair of Dykes or a sharp knife.

Here's what I use for braid (and needless to say cuts fluoro and mono)-- compact, inexpensive, doubles as a split ring pliers. I get them from BPS but other manufacturers make them as well.

Those look nice I'll look them up, I use split rings a lot on all my deep drop and slow pitch tackle.
