Have been using Spider-wire for many years, but I'm not happy with it casting range. Any suggestions on what might be a better choice for 8 to 10 pound braid for my spinning reels?

I like Power Pro, Skipper. I use the regular 4 strand and the Super 8 Slick on each of my 10 lb spinning rods. I am trying some Diawa J-Braid on my 15 lb rod this year.

I'm a suffix 832 guy. all my rods both fresh and salt. 4# for trout to 20# for stripers. 30#for Billfish.

Ok, I may get yelled at for this, but I like JOF 4 strand braid. Just ordered 500 Meters from Temu (yes, I know, but you can also get it from Wish.com) for under $6. I have been using JOF for years. Started with Spider wire and had coating build up on the bail roller. Same with Power Pro, just not as bad. Funny thing is way back when you had braid for bait caster reels, that was never a problem. I think it started when they started coating the braid.

I will only use Suffix 832 in the dark green. Best braid on the market by far IMHO

Sufix 832 in lo-vis green. Been using it several years now after trying PowerPro, Spiderwire, P-Line, Seaguar, and TUF line. 832 is the roundest, quietest braid I've ever thrown. Only downside in my opinion is the color fades after one season of use.

I've been using Dyneema 4 strand for years with no issues. Usually order off ebay.

I like the Sjufix 832 as well. Just spooled up a new rod with it.

There are many brands of super braid. Ditch the spyderwire and spool up with something that is more supple, spectra perhaps.

I watch the sales ads for line. Usually purchase the 250 yd spools and normally get 4 full spools for the reel.
This usually lasts me 1 year of fishing.
The only comment on brand is spider wire seems stiff when 1st put on but still like it. Also power pro my preferred line
On a full spool of line I will come off the new spool with the line exiting the spool from the top (bait casting reels).
For spin cast reels I place the spool with the spool label up and wind the reel about 20 rounds then put slack in the line to see if it is twisting between the spool and rod tip. If so I flip the label down and repeat the process
When changing line I will strip off the line I want to replace then from another rod pull the line thru the eyelets tie to the reel then spool the line from 1 reel to the other.

I have seen the Braided line for sale on Temu , but because it was so cheap i was skeptical of it. Has anyone else tried it?
