I've seen oyster reefs along some parts of Albemarle Sound when I was fishing down in Ocracoke, but I never knew how to collect them or if they were safe to eat. I know you have to be very careful around here where you collect shellfish.

I'll let you know when I'm coming down to Oregon inlet/ Ocracoke. Maybe we could get together.

Sounds like a good time to celebrate with some cherries jubilee.

I like them fried, too. Never could eat them on the half shell.

I’ve always had to take them out of the shell myself. The darn shells hurt my mouth.🤪🤣
