Those oysters look divine! Wife Betsy makes them once a year as oyster filling for Thanksgiving, absolutely incredible.

Don't see much them around here. I had them with my buddy down in Cape Carteret
You would enjoy my house. You can walk right around the corner and get all you want. You can also drive about a mile down the road and harvest all you want.
This is virgins Creek right behind my house the dark spot when looking at the pic is the first oyster bed as the sun is coming up. When the tide is low you can walk out there with your shovel and get all you want. When the tide roll back in you can’t see them but the sheep heads red drum black drum be in there.

WOW, The oysters look GREAT , only way to really eat em is the half shell and maybe a little cocktail sauce, They will keep for a month in a cool area, not freezing for a month, a little oatmeal sprinkled on them and a wet feed bag.

Troy, I couldn't get Kay to come in from fishing for Red's, that's her favorite fish to catch 🎣🎣

I've seen oyster reefs along some parts of Albemarle Sound when I was fishing down in Ocracoke, but I never knew how to collect them or if they were safe to eat. I know you have to be very careful around here where you collect shellfish.
I love oysters any way you make them. My sister would put them in her Thanksgiving turkey stuffing.
But now I can not eat them, They bring on the Gout and that hurts.

MMmmm Mmmm Mmm. REAL FOOD…… Can’t hardly beat Oysters on the half shell. It has been far too long since I’ve had that pleasure.
Oysters any way are very good.
If in Houston Tx try an oyster house called Captain Tom’s. They specialize in oysters anyway u like
Last time there they were 8.95 a dozen.
They shuck them right in front of you.
The building is shaped as the front of a shrimp boat. Has wrap around seating with the bar and shucking area in the middle
Their Mitchelettes are superb also.
