Hey if you're gonna eat em, my granddad who taught me a thing or two had a rule - never take more than you can eat. Don't crap in your camp. And pick up your trash. Those three have served me pretty well over. the years.
Just one more Spirit, STAY AWAY FROM BEARS! LOL

what kind of powerbaits did you use? and are these real boney fish? never fished for them befor but I have a stocked pond near me and was gonna try it. all I have is an open face set-up that I used for crappie.

Your open face crappie rig should do fine, if you can float the power bait about a foot to a foot and a half off the bottom. My best colors have always been red or orange.

Also not real bony, rib cage and fins are about it. They are easy to filet and I usually just fry them whole and eat them like corn on the cob. Meat comes right off the bones and the skin is good when crisped up.

We fish the tail water of stonewall Jackson lake for yellow perch just outside of Weston, I’m sure you know where it is. Over there last year a guy caught a trout and my sister held it up for a picture it’s the biggest rainbow I’ve ever seen.

That one I don't believe I've got a pan big enough for. Good lord. That is a monster.
