They look fantastic.
Quick question for you. Did you ever read about salting them?.
I read n article about it.
Salt then liver salt liver n so on.
It toughs it up n supposed to retain flavor.
I did some yrs ago but never went catfishing. Too hooked on bass at the time.
Also put some garlic salt in with it.
I really need to get in on some cats this yr.
Good luck brother 👍🎣
I haven’t tried salting though it sounds interesting I’ll have to research it.

I'll try it again this yr.
I think it said non iodine salt.
I put it in a plastic tub n layerd it.
I had it in the fridge for months n it didn't spoil.
try karo white syurp for salmon eggs just pour it over them and put them in the fridge over night use a extra large pan as the karo pulls all the water out of them next day pour off the syurp and freeze them they last forever they are very sticky and firm, as far as eggs go they stay on a hook very well

That's one I never heard of.
Always learning something new here 👍🎣

Thanks I got so addicted to bass fishing I gave up everything else.
The bass population where I fish has diminished over the yrs.
I think it may be the tiger muskie they introduced yrs ago.
Now flathead cats are in the river.
I've seen pics of some pushing 20 lbs.
I know the pan fish have suffered.
Toss a senko near the bank n it was tap tap tap constantly.
Not a problem anymore.
I need to find some decent trout fishing.
I'm familiar with a couple electric only lakes that regularly stock trout.
I'll eat them 👍
Have a good season Marshall 🎣
I grew up on trout fishing in north west Oregon I loved to hunt down beaver ponds and sneak up on wild fish it took a bit of stealth not to spook them , as I got older steelhead, salmon & white sturgen took my interest .moved to Georgia 1998 north of Atlanta we have stocked trout in the Chattahoochee river anything gold works great here people catch rainbows and use them for bait for stripers
Try sandwiching the liver between two thinly cut slices of chicken gizzards.

i use sewing thread and wrap it around the liver on the hook and it works fine to hold it on.

Did that and tried the salt cured liver and it is much easier for fishing.
I used this magic thread to hold liver on hook but I often wondered about using chicken gizzards. Anyone have any luck with gizzards? I did buy some triple S blood bait but haven't used it yet

The salt curing is more work upfront, but a lot less later!. LOL
