I let em do there thing.
Only things I completely eliminate are the chipmunks.
After doing almost $1,000 worth of damage to wiring on wife's car I have no luv for Alvin n the boys ππ€£
Yeah the car makers went from Plastic to Plant based for the wire protection. It's cheaper.

Damn. Iβve got chipmunks up the wazoo and Iβve have had no problem with them. The mice like to crawl into my lawn mowers in the shed. I have eliminated a few ground hogs.
Chicken and or Chickens and Catfish are some of the best there are to eat, no doubt. They are the scavengers of the earth and water. BTW, Iβve eaten several rattle snakesβ¦. Only after they were skinned of course. These rattlers were of the larger size (5-6β). They were put on the grill and cooked slowly.
A little seasoning and tasted quite good
Yeah, I have heard the same thing about that thing. I don't eat the armadillo either. It's enough catfish around these parts. I guess I am not that adventurous .

I took 11 mice outta my garage where weather turned.
Was a big problem when I first moved here. Not so bad now.
Relocated 22 squirrels a few yrs ago.
They'd empty a 3lb bird feeder in a day.
I have my glastron in a shed .
I forgot I left a bag of snacks in her.
Come spring I went to clean her up.
I pulled up the belly board up saw trash n wonder how it got there.
When I checked under deck storage closer they had a condo built in there.
I knew I had some mice catch them.
Break out the shop vac.
At least they didn't chew any wiring π

Just a suggestion,
You need to be careful when cleaning up the mice and rat droppings they carry the hantavirus virus.
They would get into the wiring cabinets at work and we would spray the droppings down with bleach then clean everything up while wearing a mask.
This method came from our safety department.

Thanks Larry.
I always wear gloves when I clean up .
Then toss em n wash my hands good.
Luckily they didn't get in the house π
I love them! For small ones skin and gut cut into 1 1/2" pieces. Dip them into a tempura mix with Italian seasoning with a little salt and pepper. Then deep fry. For fat ones you can filet them but before you dip and fry them, relax the meat with a mallet. BTW it doesn't taste like chicken. If I was to compare it, I would say closer to alligator.
THL:
Great description of how to cook and taste!! The ones we caught all had to be alive for the purchaser so eating them was a secondary source while out hunting when out late and hungry.
It goes great with a smoky bourbon or a warm beer like Becks or Guinness :-)
Just my take:)
