Thanks Larry, tried them years ago, they don't do Medicare, full price up front.

Have never talked with you maid Marion. What is the cost up front? Do you remember?

In talking with a very good friend of mine he pointed out that one of the more contentious persons on this site mentioned, complained, that this is a fishing site and other views and opinions should be relegated to other venues. This is a sentiment that I have seen off and on over the time I have been here and which I would like to answer with my opinion.
First, as far as fishing is concerned I have learned more in the last 4 years on this site than I learned in the entire time of my previous fishing career of 63 years. Knots, baits, lures, flies, rods reels, boats and equipment as well as where to’s and how to’s and why to’s. The wealth of knowledge and experience shared here is phenomenal.
Second , with regard to other views and opinions I would say that this is a site made up of thousands of people around the country and while many of the thousands don’t enter into the various conversations that arise here we can only hope that all who read will come away with good feelings. We are people who share a common interest which is fishing but there is more to life than that. There is more to all of us than that and this site has provided us with a place where we congregate and share our lives with another in an attempt to join in a wider community for support and caring and just outlooks and views on life. Much the same as we do when we are sitting with each other casting, trolling, swatting bugs or getting skunked. For many of us it has become an extended family offering support for the trials we all go though as well as others who can share our joys and happiness when the good things of life come our way. It is an amazing group of people.
Last but not least, there have been grumblings with regard to the Administration person or persons who maintain and keep this site open. In this regard let me just say that primarily this is a business for him and as his business he must run it as he sees fit. We can disagree with his policies and practices but in the long run I think Admin has done a phenomenal job at providing this website for us who use it who come from such a wide variety of backgrounds, beliefs lifestyles.
The Fishing Stage is more than just entertainment and learning it has become, for me, almost a home. Thank you all and may God richly bless each and every one.

Well Wulfy. Read all the comments. Not much can be added, but I too consider this to be a friendship stage. I have zero desire to belong to social media, but I consider this mine and all stagers here friends. Enjoy it all, and read what interests me. The Attic is the Attic, and is designed content. I read it with the rest of the topics. You know, no matter how good it looks, I don’t like liver n onions. So I don’t ever order it, catch my drift? I want you to know that I appreciate you and others, and look forward to this daily. I like the old format, but if Admin chooses the present, it’s theirs, but regardless the people and the topics are still here, regardless. That’s why we all stay, isn’t?

Yes.
Friendship is why we all stay.
I to shun social media. The only place I communicate electronically is here.

I agree with you. I check it daily and I post when I catch. I think it's harder to navigate since the recent reorganization,

Well said Mr Wulff.
My pet peeve is when people join an established organization that serves a lot of people and then want to change it up to suit themselves.

Nice write up Wulff. I enjoy this site very much. Some funny stuff and serious stuff. It’s a lot variety and resouces to enjoy.
Thank you all for the posts. Don’t let a few that come in and want to change our subjects of discussions.

i don't often post but i read almost everything that comes up on this site. If I see something that doesn't interest or apply to me i just move to the next thread. Don't change what you have here. You won't find many forums that become family. this one is that and more for many people.
