This 28+ lb fish just whipped this130lb old gal and I think I'll rest a week after this! I'm pretty sure it's a drum, although it's the biggest one I've ever caught or even seen. It's free now, mad respect for the old guy... but me... I'm done for a week! Just wanted to share the excitement of the day. Stay well all.

God bless your heart, you knuckled up and fought hard and he went down for the count. Your a true champion among anglers. That's one to tell the grandkids 😂👍💰👏👏😇

Oh my gosh, that's a beautiful red! I still haven't landed a "legal size" red...but I'm sure I've hooked a couple that broke hooks. I'll keep trying to catch a brute like yours!

Wow! That’s a nice catch . That’s the way we do it here in Texas, right ? Reminds me of when I was in trinity bay in my kayak a few years back . Hooked a huge red that pulled me around for a little while . Let him get tired out . Reeled him in , got the hook out , let him go ..My 2cents…

You got that right Cam . Used to go camp at rollover and and would wade out on the bay side . Caught reds , specks , flounder , sandies. Would usually cook the specks and sandies over a charcoal fire right there at rollover . Combined with a few beers , I was good to go . As a side note to anybody that wants to guess why it was called “ rollover pass” . Give it a shot. …….Cam, I imagine you and Greyghost already know….

Hey Chuck, you been reading my thoughts buddy! I've been contemplating getting a peddle kayak for my area is so limited on foot. Considering just pulling it once a week on foot and wheels for the sheer pleasure of being able to access spots I can not right now! 🤔

Where is camp rollover? I'm not but 2 1/2 years in Texas, and started fishing again just under a year ago. However, been a fishin' fool since I could walk, Miami FL and surrounding areas. Grandpa's only willing and joyously ready fishing partner! Caught the Peace of it all very young. Then it became Haulover Inlet, Biscayne Blvd areas, and freshwater canals. My favorite has always been saltwater tho!

Rollover Pass used to be on the Boliver Peninsula but they filled it in 2 or 3 years ago it was a man made Pass from the Gulf of Mexico to East Bay.
