My wife and I look forward to having you with us on our old boat in July. Let's just pray that it isn't to hot and that the fish are cooperative. But for us it's never to hot, just to cold.

GW Never found it in my own family.
I was the one that helped everyone.
Also the one that never found anyone that wasn't busy when I needed a hand.

One by one I cut them out of my life.
Better to be alone than have blood family that only reach out when they want something.

After our accident Bug n I had offers of help from my new family.
None from blood family.

They say blood doesn't determine FAMILY.
I'm always looking forward to a visit with my better than blood family.

This is a sentiment that I have seen off and on over the time I have been here and which I would like to answer with my opinion.
First, as far as fishing is concerned I have learned more in the last 4 years on this site than I learned in the entire time of my previous fishing career of 63 years. Knots, baits, lures, flies, rods reels, boats and equipment as well as where to’s and how to’s and why to’s. The wealth of knowledge and experience shared here is phenomenal.
Second , with regard to other views and opinions I would say that this is a site made up of thousands of people around the country and while many of the thousands don’t enter into the various conversations that arise here we can only hope that all who read will come away with good feelings. We are people who share a common interest which is fishing but there is more to life than that. There is more to all of us than that and this site has provided us with a place where we congregate and share our lives with another in an attempt to join in a wider community for support and caring and just outlooks and views on life. Much the same as we do when we are sitting with each other casting, trolling, swatting bugs or getting skunked. For many of us it has become an extended family offering support for the trials we all go though as well as others who can share our joys and happiness when the good things of life come our way. It is an amazing group of people.
Last but not least, there have been grumblings with regard to the Administration person or persons who maintain and keep this site open. In this regard let me just say that primarily this is a business for him and as his business he must run it as he sees fit. We can disagree with his policies and practices but in the long run I think Admin has done a phenomenal job at providing this website for us who use it who come from such a wide variety of backgrounds, beliefs lifestyles.
The Fishing Stage is more than just entertainment and learning it has become, for me, almost a home. Thank you all and may God richly bless each and every one.

GrayWulff…you are a lot more articulate than I am (AND my wife told me not to reply) but I agree with you 100% and have very little sympathy for those who complain? If they are not able to keep from opening a site that offends them then I would hope they were at least smart enough to NOT read the content that offended them in the first place?
But if all else fails the brothers and sisters on this site will let them rant and voice their opinions and we’ll love them anyway as hopefully all came to this site initially because of one common reason and that is fishing information…I like a huge lot of others open this site the first thing probably bypassing other email we should read first. I cannot wait in the morning to see what has been posted since my last visit? With Roaring River State Park and Table Rock Lake I live in the middle of fishing utopia but not able to comment much since health issues have put a damper on my participation so I get great pleasure on reading what my Forever Friends have done and are doing??
At amazes me daily when someone has a hiccup or asks for help numerous folks jump in to help him or her…
I didn’t like the new format but have learned to navigate it so all is well…
Keep the likes and dislikes coming as I still have a bunch to learn?
Respectfully Dr Chip

I’m with you in every aspect. I had my guide license for 25 years and I know fresh and salt water fishing, but I know I don’t know everything. Thank goodness for this site! I’ve learned so much that I would never have known had I not been here with you all!

Extremely well written Wulffy. Since joining the stage almost four years ago, I have had the opportunity to fish with and meet some great people. I went on an incredible journey through the northwest part of this beautiful country.
I attended an M&G this past year and had a great time with 15 other stagers. All as a result of being here on the Stage. I have become a better fisherman, and was able to share some of my experience, pics, and stories with all of you. We are family!

I believe in all walks of life, that there are what I call the "10 Per Centers". You are never going to please them, so spend your time with the rest of us. This is just one Old Bass Guy's opinion. Be safe and God Bless.

Dr Chip you responded just fine brother.
I was hesitant at first.
Finally logged on n the longer I stayed the more friends I've made.

Didn't voice my opinion too much first yr. Then got a little protective when someone got nasty.

Never cared for rudeness arrogance or bullies.
Some got really out of line calling people names n other uncalled for behavior.

Things have calmed down alot.
Still n occasional flare up but that's human nature.

The fishing knowledge is great 👍
The caring n compassion I see keeps growing n its a great thing to be part of.

Many new members have been great additions to the family.

Bringing new ideas n opinions without attitudes.
Making the site bigger n better 👍😊

I totally agree. This is a very entertaining site. After all the crazy stuff that happens on a daily basis, it’s refreshing to read the stories we all have. Thanks to everyone who is here, on the “Stage”

As with some many other things in life, if it is a topic you have no interest in/find offensive/ twists your panties in a knot....
All you have to do is move on. Simply don't engage in that topic.

I find the ability to discuss all the topics, including religion and politics a refreshing plus for this site.

God bless all y'all
