In the next few weeks we will be celebrating Christmas throughout this world.
What do you do on that day and if you do or do not celebrate, and why if you do not believe?
After reading the comments, many have heavy hearts with their losses. Sorry for your losses, but you all have expressed belief in our Savior. Thatās the lively hope that Christmas is to represent. Birth of a Savior for all who will accept His sacrifice for their sin. Only we believers have that hope. And not a maybe so but a know so hope. Enjoy the gifts. Enjoy the family. But remember He came and sacrificed that we could have life more abundantly. Merry Christmas.

Christmas was always a magical time. The spirit of good will and giving and relishing the gift of family and friends gathered to rejoice in what the birth of Jesus means to us all. His birth still has the same meaning but without my soulmate the magic is gone. It is not so much a sad time for me as it is just quiet and alone with the memories. You who still have your mates rejoice and cherish them. You who do not it is my prayer you can take a measure of solace in the fact that through all of what this life has thrown at you, above all, YOU HAVE BEEN LOVED. For any of you folks who donāt believe in Jesus it is my wish that you at least find a good measure of peace during this season.

Wellā¦ I am a believer too, but yāall know me! - Iām gonna tell you why WE celebrate Christmas. Very simply, itās the day God sent His son Jesus, to earth to be born of a virgin,
to die on a Roman cross, as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, then be resurrected from the dead, as a sign of His victory over death and hell, before He returned back to Heaven.
Oh, BTW - all we have to do is believe in Him and what Heās done for us, to spend FOREVER with Him and His Father at Their āplaceā in Heaven. šš»
Iām sure the ones that doesnāt believe in Jesus still believe in Santa Claus and spoiling younguns maybe thatās why nobody answering

I absolutely believe, but I have not celebrated Christmas since 2020 when my wife passed away for the simple reason that December 25 was our wedding anniversary as well. Just too hard to celebrate without her.
My wife and I are heading toward 54 yrs. As we sit on the porch this summer I told her that itās hard to think about it, but one day coming, one of us will not be here. Thatās life, and which one is still unknown to us now, and good that it is unknown. Godās Word says that for this cause (marriage) man shall leave his father and mother, and cleave unto his wife, and these two shall become one. Sheās part of you and vice versa. You even read each others mind. Thatās being one. Familiarity!! How do you loose part of your being and not feel loss? But the most important truth is that if we each have a personal relationship with Christ, itās not the end but only the beginning. We may not have earthly relationships in eternity but we will know each other. IMO. I could continue on, but let me add a saying that is secular but I believe relevant; āBe not sad because its over, but be happy it happenedā. Dr Seuss. Live with your memories, because itās all you have when you get old. Anticipate meeting again, but live until then, for thereās still purpose in your life. Just sayin
Well it is about that time to call it a night and now I am curious as to why not even 1 non believer responded.

Here is just a thought:
According to Scripture, Satan does the following things to keep those who have not believed in Christ in spiritual darkness.
1. Deny His Existence
One of the favorite ways in which Satan operates is to get people to deny that he exists. He seems to be most effective when people do not believe there is such a creature as the Devil. If he can get people to doubt his existence, then he can do much of his work without their knowing.
Just sayināā¦
Christmas is my favorite holiday, I donāt like the winter as I donāt like cold weather, but Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our savior Jesus, and we donāt know what day he was really born, we celebrate his birth on this day, the Christmas season really warms my heart
I think I can answer that, Plum. First, they do not have the faith to tell us why they fell the way they do. And secondly our faith anchors us to the word of God so that we can be strong in that word and in that belief.

My heart is heavy for those who have lost their spouses. I almost lost my wife but she was miraculously healed by The Lord, who confounded the doctors wisdom. .
I have and believe in a personal relationship with Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior. His love for us is unlimited and based on His character not ours. Many people believe that the church represents the nature of God. This may or may not be true depending on the church. A lot of people have church hurt and discount who God is based on their church experience.
Others believe but do not want their faith tested or competing with others. Or more sobering āthe message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing ā Not understanding His Kingdom see a falling world and question His existence.

I just saw this Plum. I can't give you a long answer now cause you're saying goodnight. Short answer, why do bad things happen to good people that hurt nobody. The church has their standard answer, "god has a plan for all of us".
Put money in the basket so we can live free off of you and maybe your prayers will be answered. Some prayers will be answered through dumb luck and some just won't because that's life.
Sorry Plum, I enjoy you're rhetoric and fun nature but you asked the question.
