All homemade Bob. Pap had a big garden.
Grandmother canned everything.
Made jellies n all kind if goodies.
We grew up in a homemade time brother.
Fond memories of his garden n chicken coop n Grams flowers n home-cooked meals.
Now n then I ride by their house to reminisce.
It's on the other side if town.

I'm glad i came back to my hometown.
Never thought I would but now no regrets 👍

And they say you can never go back home, glad you did Grizzy

When we live in MD the neighborhood was once a nice place.
It started going to crap.
Break-ins drugs n prostitutes in a house just down the street.
We left n a short time later 2 murders.

I like this little 12 house cul-de-sac.
So much nicer brother 👍😊

How about that fir coincidence Gordon. Big lot between us n the credit union.
They don't mind Chylo n I playing on it.
Elementary school on other side if the fence row.
Can see the mountain from every window on one side of the house n deck.
In 5 minutes I can go in two different directions n be in the mountains.

Was a few kids when we first moved here. They all grew up n moved away.
All adults that stay to themselves.
Everyone waves n says hey.

Peaceful place to live 👍😊

LOL Butch. Mine is not that good. Ain't no mountains around here. The school is 5 miles away. My credit union is a 10 minute drive from here. But the boat landing is only 5 miles away. Oh yes the neighbors in all have 11 kids in all. Have y'all ever done a cul- de- sac cook out. We all set our grills up in our drive ways and everyone walks around and gets food.

They did when the kids was younger.
When we got her the kids all in high school n no cul-de-sac cook outs.

Does make life easier when you have good neighbors.

We're tucked in insulated not isolated.
Everything we need is within a couple 100 yards to a couple miles.

My credit union is about 15 mins away.
Would be nice being closer to good water 🤣

Plus retirement in MD wasn't n options 👍
I lived in several locations in MD over the yrs
Parents moved to Hagerstown late 64.
I was in MD till 78 moved to Hanover for a job.
Back to MD Feb 80 stayed there till we moved here Jan 06.

I think 🤔 I read that King Henry of England was especially JAZZED about Oysters when they were presented to him! I was raised eating them from a very young age: it's not pleasant living without Oysters 🦪🦪🦪🦪 on the halfshell!
