Check with Arizona Fish and Game but I feel certain that they are legal and there is a maximum I think it's a 3-ft net. But I see people casting them around here in Lake Havasu going after shad to fish for stripers.

Here is a link to the AZ fishing regulations for 2023-2024.

Page 7 discusses capturing baitfish and crayfish for bait. It states you can use up to an eight foot diameter cast net. Seine nets can be 10 feet x 4 feet.

I believe they are, but make sure you don't get any game fish. G&F will not bo happy with ya.

Just a thought… Not a good idea to use Washington regs for Arizona lakes.

That might be the case for gamefish Hayman but if you look at the links I provided earlier in this thread you will see that an eight foot diameter cast net is allowed for anyone with a fishing license to collect baitfish and crayfish for bait.

The AZ fishing regulations state 4' radius, 8' diameter. I provided the links earlier. Page 7 spells it out pretty clearly under Capturing Baitfish and Crayfish for Bait.
