Same experience on Corte Madera creek recently in shallow water near shore over flats at night with a low tide moving quickly up the creek. At night I saw a dimple in the water near shore and cast a swimbait 20 feet past it and began reeling - as the bait approached the shore pointed up river a striper hit and almost pulled the rod out from two hands. The line got stuck in the reel (my fault) and in five sections the fish broke off 12 lb. test!

Hey buddy it's been dead slow ducks not down
Counts on Refuges arn even avg 1 bird per man !!
Went to my cousin club we shot 2 ducks and 5 Geese between 5 of us.
Had a great time, Club is on the Delta and the own 1000acers .
Went out opening weekend on Mendoda Refuge shot one duck. !!!
How have you been !
Haven't had the boat out in 4 months.

Hey buddy. Sorry the huntin has been so bad. Hopefully they will move down soon.
I've been very busy goin back and forth between Windsor and Tahoe. Had to do a lot of work under the house in Tahoe but I'm done now. Still tryin to get stuff finished up there so I'm headed back on Thursday.

Only got one black duck while jump shooting for nearly five miles alongside a NJ NWR in the afternoon on the last day Saturday. Avian influenza killed most wild birds 🦢.

Out of the VA hospital Last week receiving at my daughters.......2 months I will have to be careful so will again miss Striper season but was so glad to see your pics. When I get little bit better will call. WYI the Orland water users took over operation of East Park about 2 years ago, lake was at minimum pool, they claimed they had a gate problem then later said the got the wrong acre ft. info from someone.......They were getting about $300.00+ per acre feet selling it approx. 12,000 t0 15,000 in at the time then drained it dry, everything dead will send you pics......... Please private message me with phone number phone died and they got all ph. numbers back from cloud, they lied, I lost at least 60%......Thanks buddy
