A couple of months ago I posted about "My solution for seasickness" and thought that I'd provide a follow-up.

To summarize the earlier post, I found that chewing a 5mg THC gummy in the marina parking lot eliminated all of my problems.

Here's the link in case you want to read about how I experimented to determine the right dose.

I've been out on several ocean trips since I wrote the initial post. For the most part, the conditions were calm enough that I 'probably' could have skipped the gummy. However, I found that they helped by giving me the freedom to go below and not having to keep my eyes on the horizon.

The true test came yesterday when I went out crabbing with 40Grit. The seas were a fairly quick 8'ers (with sleepers at 11-12') when we crossed the bar. It was definitely a hang on kinda ride. Captain Denny did a great job at the helm -- we only had one hard landing all day.

Here's Denny's trip report...

I also had my head down between my knees baiting traps the entire time that Karel was setting them (about 15 minutes). For me, this is my biggest trigger.

I'm happy to report that I had zero symptoms entire day.

That's good to know Papa.
Thanks for being the guinea pig brother.

I'll keep that in mind for future trips.

If you're going to try the gummies, I can't emphasize enough the importance of experimenting with the dosage on dry land. (Link to how I did it is above)

You want to shoot for a dose that you can't feel the effects from the THC (except maybe the munchies). For me, that was 5 mg (half of a 10 mg). If I had taken the whole 10 mg gummy I'm sure that I would have been totally useless (if not a burden) on the boat.

Definitely worth a try. I'm probably the worst sea sick sailor ever.

The link is to a great company. Some of you may have heard of or seen a place called the CBD store. The link is to their gummies. They have all different types. CBD THC CBG blends of all different kinds. They are very HIGH QUALITY. I have shared some of the type I usually have that are 2:1 CBD : THC

PapaD is exactly right in recommending experimenting with dosage for each person. Weight of person. Metabolism of each person etc always matters.

I nibble on them so each one is several doses. I live with a huge amount of pain these really seem to help. Another pain killer combo ( natural) is Bosweilia / Ashwagandha with Glucosamine/Chondroitin.
