There’s a river that flows through there as you are driving to the Builtmore. The scream runs from the mountains that surround it. Fall and Christmas is the best time to go.

It was usually summertime when we made those trips. I do remember the river, but in the picture it looks too straight and too square along the banks.

I have no idea where this is.

It's the Calvary Chapel Southside in Honeoye Falls, NY. Monroe County

This is early right before the leaves start to turn. They say that river is full of trout but I never fished it. If you ever visit N.C. stop by the Builtmore. Very beautiful up there.

Got some good wine there also.

We went there several years ago and toured the β€œhouse” and grounds. Very cool!

Great picture. We were there '76. My oldest brother bought a brand new Triamph 750 twin. Rode to Vancouver BC for the shakedown cruise. Burnt up the rear wheel bearing returning through Bellingham. Shop said 4 days. Dad said shall we? Mom said let 's. We filled up the thermos, bought bearings at Joe Sarkee's and delivered them. I think 900 miles and 20 hours one way. My folks were adventurous sports. A fun trip.

He still has it, along with his first. A '63 650. Both baskets though.
