Great message, thank you very much. There's a woman in the Eureka area of northern California that could maybe be a fishing buddy if you are not too far away. Her name is Gina and don't remember her ap name but she seems just about like you.
Hopefully your Dad is right and all of us will meet at best fishing hole and just have a great time πŸ‘

I checked the user names & found GinaBermudez in Eureka California, maybe it's her ?

Welcome aboard the forum somegirls. I'm in Salem but I grew up in Gresham and spent a lot of time fishing the Sandy River and troutdale. My most deepest condolences to the loss of your father, I lost mine quite a few years ago but I know he still goes fishing with me every time I'm out, I'm sure just like yours is with you. Stay on the site and if there's anything I can do to help you out or make things better feel free to ask. Keep the lines tight and the Spirit light, that's how he's doing it.

Welcome aboard the forum somegirls. I too lost my father quite a few years ago but I know he's with me every time I go out. I'm in Salem but I grew up in Gresham and spent a lot of time fishing the Sandy River in troutdale and above. If there's anything I can do to help you out feel free to ask. Keep the lines tight and the Spirit light, I know your father and my father are doing the exact same thing. Maybe they're sitting side by side telling fish stories on a bank somewhere catching Whoppers.

Good morning, first of all my deepest condolences, I totally understand , welcome onboard. I recently started fishing again , I go to where my dad would take us as kids . I lost my dad in 2020 while smiling at me in my arms . Even if I don't catch fish the piers, jetties and lakes have lots memories so I always catch something 😁. I go solo so yes I know the feeling . Thanks again for sharing what your dad said of where we go, I look forward to going to that fishing hole to catch the ones that got away 🎣✌️

I finally registered so I thought I would take the time to say hello and also thank all of you for your time and posts!

I have always been an outdoorsy kinda girl and have always loved fishing. Grew up fishing all of oregon. Normally just lake fishing because fishing for salmon, steelhead, and ocean fishing was something I enjoyed doing with my dad only for the most part! We would fish anywhere we went!!
2 years ago he passed away and now gets to sit at the fishing whole catching the big ones all day long (that's where we go when we pass according to him) ever since I have taken up going by myself.
It's different but I have had all of you and you're posts and suggestions to help me along my journey and I appreciate it!!
So again thank you

Welcome to the forum! Think good memories of your Dad whenever you go fishing, especially when he directs a fish towards your hook!
Enjoy the information and antics of the gang here--and don't get offended if someone posts a blonde or male joke (we sometimes forget there is a lady present! )
If you have questions or need help don't hesitate to ask.
Again, welcome and here's wishing you tight lines!

Paul, You need to hit the " QUOTE reply " button if you want to answer back to someone's post. Otherwise, it just gets slapped into the original post at random.

Thank you for saying such kind warm words, the Stage is a family of sports we help each other out. Sorry to hear about your father. Yes fishing isn’t the same but keep in mind every time you go to that hole your father is there with you.
