Well, money is hard to come by . At least for some of us. I'll spend mine on the cheaper version of stripers.
Yeah but what about us guys who want to catch strippers? I'm waiting for an answer to Jeremy's question. Ain't that spell checker a b*tch John McCain caffery?
And I 'bout forgot - welcome to the stage JMc. All aboard!

I couldn't afford them and am not sure I could handle them either.
Yeah the live bait is hard now, the frozen is still available. But then I cheat, The small Spot I caught before I have frozen in the freezer, I put them in a Ziplock and then add lots of water. The water keeps them from going soft from freezing. The water freezes first. Of course when I get big Spot, they get eaten. Strippers not allowed now until mid may here near Baltimore. I'll try and go out today and see what else is biting. If nothing else it will be quiet today. During the week not many fishing along the shore. Welcome to the Forum.

Actually there are some pretty good strip joints down Jersey way, or at least there use to be.

Try using Ava 27 jigs with a sand eel teaser if you can’t use live bait. Works very well.
