PB BLASTER loosened a bolt on my jet unit that wouldn't move. It took a few days n some gentle persuasion but I got it the whole way in π
I'm worried about all those chemicals stinking up the bag. Wouldn't it then be bad for fishing to place lures and other tackle into that bag? Wouldn't it spook the fish to sense petroleum-based chemicals?

KG, you put your bait in a plastic box inside the bag I don't see where it's going to have any effect on the fish smelling the lures, Bass pros having a big sale going on right now might just have to go and buy you some new fishing equipment π

I am committed to WD 40. If you get them to work, use it on regular basis, if you end up replacing them or the bags use WD 40 a few times per year and you probably will not have further problems. Good luck.

I haven't fished in a few months. Just noticed that one of our fishing bags is ruined. Lots of corrosion on the sliders. Can't open the zippers. Sliders are fused. Any way to fix this?
I tried fresh water and some vinegar on it. Didn't work.
I ended up buying a new bag. It's not that expensive, and the amount of work it would take to fix is just too much compared to the cost of getting a new one.
Soaking in vinegar and oil and other common methods didn't work. Anything more advanced is just not worth doing.
They do offer warranty for two year replacement for new purchases. I'm thinking maybe I should get that.
