I'll keep that in mind, I did look at getting one that just wraps around the kayak and it sets in it, no scupper holes involved.

I have 12 ft version (I think you have 10?). I love it. Best bang for money IMO.

Yeah it's the 10 it's the most reasonable size I could manage but I'm not planning on doing anything too crazy in it.

What’d you use to rack it on your car?

I used the Yakima EasyTop rack, worked well but I wouldn't go any faster than 65mph with it though, it gets a little iffy any faster than that, at least on my car. But it's simple to strap on and relatively inexpensive if your wanting more than some pool noodles to haul your kayak around with.

Have the same one, love it.

Love mine! Tracks so good for a shorter yak. I stood in mine last season. Such a fun kayak. Enjoy and congrats!

Welcome to a whole new way of fishing there shipwreck. Checkout Amazon for a cooler that will fit in the back for your keepers. Can't tell if you have rod holders that's a necessity, also the anchor trolley system is nice but I use two each 5lb weights, one on each side for an anchor. Also went the paddle route like you but will do a trolling motor later for those long hauls. Enjoy my friend, next pic with fish at your feet please.

It’s a beauty. Looks like a great yak for fishing. I really like my Ocean yak. It’s got a built in trolling motor. But if I were younger I would have gotten a yak like yours.

Good luck to you on your first fishing trip and be safe.
