Picked up my first fishing kayak yesterday and I can't wait to take it out and start exploring!

What kind of rack is that, how much was it, and do you happen to know it’s capacity in lbs? Lol having major complaints from the ol’ ball and chain

Looks like a beauty, I prefer pedal models myself

A pedal kayak would be nice in the future, but I think I'll appreciate the arm workout I'll get using a paddle for now lol

I have this same kayak in green. It is, in my opinion, the best middle ground kayak you can buy. Perfect balance of stability, tracking, speed and weight. I love mine and I wouldn’t trade up for anything less than a peddle drive hobie. Have fun on your first adventure!

I also have the same one in green and second your comment.

Nice garage setup. I have my 2 future beach kayaks hanging on the wall in front of the wife's car and my Pescador pilot suspended from the ceiling

Nice! Yeah we have a bake rack on the other side so this was really the only option other than hanging from the ceiling, but that worried me too much so I went with a wall rack.

I have that same kayak and love it. I did buy a longer paddle for it as I sit on the highest setting. But have sat in that for 6 hours and felt comfortable. I’ve yet to tried to flip it, but have had some rocky waters I’ve been on. Strong current and 50+ mph wind on the river.

That's good to hear! Makes me confident I chose the right kayak.

I did wuss out and buy a kayak cart for it. With my fishing gear it a lot to carry. I tried making one at home but the only good way was to put it through the scuppers. DO NOT put your kayak cart through any scupper holes I’m told their quite weak and you’ll get cracks
