Hey fly being that its Sunday and that she doesn't feel, well may we wave the wait until noon to purchase the brandy policy?
JessAlynn, instructions from an old, retired peace officer. Put the habeas grabbus on their corpus.
A little Irish coffee wouldn't hurt, neither ! Warm you up and wake you up at the same time !
Fortunately I don't drink, so the suggestions will be great for everyone else. I just need to vitamin c bomb myself and be good as new.

Well, hate to reveal this for the world to see,but frustration and aggravation run hand n hand. Drove over 150 miles and launched the boat before realizing I had forgotten the outboard key.
Doh! π€¦π»ββοΈ I am so sorry that happened to you! I can relate to a lesser degree to your story... Not as catastrophic though.
Had my rods pre rigged and in their carry bag, had my bucket, ice, bait casting net and clothing/fishing gear but I forgot my tackle bag. Thankfully the crickets were plentiful, but I ended up collecting more rocks than fish π. (I am an avid rockhound, aka I hunt for quartz, chalcedony, jasper and agates.) So I still had a productive experience.
We all have those days at some point and glad to read you still made the best of the situation. As for myself got up extra early this past summer one morning because of the distance I had to paddle. Wanted to get there before sunrise. Paddling seemed to be going a lot easier for some odd reason. Water was its normal chop, slight breeze, mullet jumping and then realized half way to my spot, I forgot my vest.
Long story short, a little late getting to my spot. Fish waited on me, but not the monsters I was after.

The last time I went out to kayak the wind was blowing so fast it felt like the river was going backwards. I tied up and bank fished after struggling to gain 50 yards in a half hour. 20+ knot winds suck even when you are trying to go downstream!
Jess A have you thought of a trolling motor for your kayak for those kind of days? I am leaning towards that purchase in the spring just for the long hauls. I like the stealth method vs a motor when I approach my target.
