Used to hunt em when I's a kid. The woods my where I lived had a lot of hickory in it and it was right next to a big ol corn field. Those squirrels were extremely well fed and fat on hickory nuts and corn. I would go before the sun came up andsit under a hickory tree where they had been working and watch them coming in from the maple trees. Don't know why they didn't live in the hickory trees, but for some reason they'd build their nests in maple. Once they were in there and chowing down I'd make a little to-do and they'd hide behind a limb. Then I make my squirrel call, and they couldn't resist. They just had poke their heads out to see what that was. .22 shorts. didn't make much noise. pick a couple off, take em home, clean em and mom would cook em up. Delicious.

The last couple of times I went deer hunting I just sat there and watched the does and fawns eat and mill around. Rabbits, birds and insects messing around. Kinda makes you wonder why you wanna shoot the animals as they are fun to watch. I feed the squirrels every day black oil sunflower seeds. They sure fun to watch chasing each other around.
Easy.
They are good to eat.

Sometimes I go fishing with two cases of beer and two worms. If I get a bite, I move.
Mr wd4ity, a normal person might not see the humor in your statement. I've never been accused of having a normal bone in me. I really enjoyed you sharing your fishing technique. Good luck.

That's not my normal fishing routine, just when I've had a tough week. My normal fishing trip is haul boat and gear 60 miles one way, get out on the water when it's about a hundred degrees (literally), fish like hell all day without getting a bite. Then on the 60 mile trip back home I think "good day of fishing".

The best dog I ever had was a 1/2 black & tan, 1/4 plot & a 1/4 grayhound. A silent, that never lied and never chased a deer. The second best was an English Blue that I got from a guy out of MO. She had a deer problem as a pup but I sent her to a guy that broke her of that business and she turned out to be a super dog. I have had many dogs but only a few good ones. I can't get started talking coon huntin', I'll go on all day. So many stories!

Now that’s my kind of fishing. Moving around just to piss off those fish who want my bait. I call it pay back for the times they pissed me off. 🤭
