Don't know about that drink or the test, but I had a similar experience while in the naval hospital in Norfolk just before my discharge; they gave me these five little pills (yellow w/black bands) we called 'depth charges' ! Forget sleeping; I was up and running to the 'head' every half-hour throughout most of the night, with a case of the 'squirts' reminiscent of a serious flu case ! By the time I had to go for my test in the morning, I looked like a zombie; the most dark-eyed, bleary-looking 'squid' you'll ever see ! Not a lick of sleep, and felt like my body had been drained of all fluids ! Felt like I had been flushed down a drain, and forced down it with a heavy-duty plunger ! Never want to see those little yellow pills ever again !

Yeah, I had to give myself several courtesy flushes that night, or it would have been coming out of BOTH ends ! I felt bad for the poor bastards who had to use the 'head' while I was in there ! To quote a friend of mine's favorite expression : " It weren't nothin' nice !"
