Squids-Swabbies-Bluejackets got to stick together! USN Kiddie Cruiser, 8/1961-8/1964. My war was the Cuban Missile Crisis. Our ship was tasked with evacuating civvy contractors and military dependents from GTMO. Got out before the Viet Nam unpleasantness.

Good luck with your project; nice hobby/activity to get into ! Sorry for the mis-read, but it wasn't clear whether that was your age or service period ! Incidentally, are those rods for yourself, or do you do this for friends/family/clients ?

Some rods I have made and put COLOR CHANGE weaves on them.

Thanks, I get my rods at thrift stores and rebuild them.
When I was working I would repair co-workers poles, no charge just pay for parts.
Here's one of my simple wraps.

good one, bigger rod with roller guides. Looks like white glass. I assume for saltwater. Although my first Sturgeon rod had rollers.
