It’s not unusual for places selling alcohol to blanket check EVERYONE. Especially if they have had problems selling to minors. It’s just easier to explain to the customer “we’re not picking on you, we check everybody”. It also helps ease concerns from the inspectors which, in turn, makes life less stressful for the owner.

Isn't the white hair a give away that I just might be over 21? Sure the wife may need to be checked with that dyed hair with the color of the month, after all she looks 50 today.

And yes, my back is not to the wall on that one.

I became a plumbing foreman on a housing project back in the 70's. I saw my first gray hair, small as it was back then. Dealing with teenage helpers all jacked up first thing in the morning and having to hire and fire on the spot was not my cup of tee. White hair today is from pop pop. Yep that angel on my Right shoulder.

We have a saying in our family..."don't mind if it goes grey, just don't go away !". I have been "greying" since my late twenties. At now 66, just glad I still have some....... white, but still there !
