A friend told me about SFC /scannow some years back. Also setting restore points is a good idea.

I agree with the "never say yes." When they ask if I can hear them I just say "I can hear you."
If they ask is this (insert name) I reply "that's me." But I do like messing with them when they call.
I got the grandparents scam call awhile ago.
Caller said, grandpa? I said is this John?
(Made up name) he said yes that he was arrested and needed money to get out. I asked him what he was arrested for and he said DUI.
I told him that I can't keep bailing him out.
He said talk to the officer. I played along with the so called officer. I finally said that I didn't have the money and keep him in jail. Maybe that will teach him a lesson. He hung up, but I had about 10 minutes or so of fun.
My method is considerably harsher, but I've yet to get repeat calls; I just tell them to keep calling and bugging me so that I can track them back to their location, after which they will be hunted down, gutted, skinned and decapitated ! Write similar messages to nuisance text messages; seldom get repeats !
