You have no idea how good 'til you've tried it. My lips water just thinking about that fish fry that way.
Another recipe that works is to use crushed ritz crackers. Damn good

Howdy Snoopy. The missus and I are in Marion in Grant County. Fishing hasn't been any thing to brag about in this area this year. Got a good mess of channel cats at the Missisinewa spillway a few nights ago. Used my punch bait. That's all they would hit. Totally ignored liver, shrimp ... everything everyone else was offering them. I offered to share my bait but had no takers other one young fella who got called away to help track a deer before he had a chance to use it.
Good luck to you and your mister in your fall fishing.
Snoopy...sounds like you are going to fit right nicely in here..bring on some pictures of the fish yuo are catching from time to time..
Well, we used to live in gas city. Never fished that lake
We always left and went to Monroe. Come spring you 2 can always join us on geist if you like
Our boat holds 12 people, so plenty of space. We are ready to store the boat this year. Heading to Fla. Lake Okeechobee. Now that's a kick butt lake. We will rent our boat there. You all have a great cold winter and pls. Keep in touch.
We will be here you have a warm winter.
Hubby has them in his phone..I will retrieve them and send them on....Here is my fish fry recipe.....#1. Catch fish...never buy them...#2. Make sure they perfectly fillets. #3. Always, use an iron skillet...preferably over an open campfire. #4. Get a baggie and fill one third full of white cornmeal mix and add one fourth cup of all purpose flour...#5. Add light olive oil in the bottom of your skillet. Make sure your fire is burning low...#6. Add fillets to bag and shake till covered well. #7. Add fillets to skillet when nice and hot. #8. Cook fillets golden brown on each side turning only once for 3 to 4 min. #9. Use tongs to carefully put fillets on platter. #10. Dig in for a feast..
What to have with these beauties🎏
baked beans, and tater salad, and for dessert, have campfire apple pies, or yummy marshmello s, or smores...
Mix equal parts mayo, ketchup, and mustard! That’s my sauce and I use crushed corn flakes instead of pretzels

Crappie, fried green tomatoes, crappie and zucchini.
Castiron will always cook the best.

Thanks for the offer Snoopy but my missus may not be with us much longer. Terminal lymphoma. Doctors say nothing they can do to help her. Hospice is all. Unless God grants a miracle remission she won't be.
Oooh. Gut Punch. So sorry about that. Make sure that when she looks you in the eye, she doesn't see pain, only love.
Since the 80s I’ve used a Thill TG Waggler for pan fishing. I usually keep an extra because I end up giving one to someone wrassling the skunk. Waxworm on a small hook. Fish almost catch themselves when they’re on the bite. I filet them. Drag the filet through flour and fry. The simpler the better.

I'm trying. After 39 years together and all shes done for me...we both thought I'd be first to go because of my heart. I wish I could give her the time I have left.
Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it.
We will be praying for you and the missus. One day at a time and remember to laugh and big hugs daily. Talk about the good times and cherish each and every day. ♥️

Thanks for the prayers. Judy says there's not much pain yet which amazes the medicos. We're grateful for that. She 's so brave about dying. She's an impressive lady.
