You forgot my favorite -- the flying monkees. Scared the crap out of me as a kid. Especially when they tore up the scarecrow in the haunted forest.

I'm 66. I won't list my physical challenges. They are what they are. Others here beat me by far on that stuff. I did have stage 3 cancer. On the list of the 10 most stressful events in your life, I've had 8.

Everyone has a story and challenges. Mine aren't tougher or worse than others on FS. Married 3 times, divorced twice, cancer, homeless, broke, lost everything, complete breakdown, depression, anxiety, psychiatric care(waste of time). It's been an interesting ride. Life goes on.

I don't get stressed over things. I don't have a list of ten things.

It's not my list. Just a list made up by a doctor. If you never get stressed over life's events and challenges, you are very young or very lucky.

My 1st broken arm at age 5, 2nd at 9. At 12 years my appendix ruptured putting me in the hospital 18 days. At 14 my right leg was mashed when a tractor ran it over. That really hurt. I had every childhood disease on the books along with sprained ankles & a couple broken ribs. I was healthy as a horse. Farm work kept me busy & sometimes buggered up. I came home from my senior trip in southeast Asia with 6 fractured vertebrae & some really sore spots. My career was oil field worker. I got a broken ankle when loose pipe pinned me down. I later developed chronic blood clots & have been hospitalized several times for that. After retirement I fell & fractured my right wrist which required 2 surgeries. Since retirement I have had 2 postrate surgeries. Now in 60 days I get a knee replacement. last year I came down with tick fever. Oh yes, your question was what's my age. 71
It's like the man said "the 1st hundred years is the hardest".

Damn, BC ! Are you just really unlucky, or did someone put a voodoo curse on you ? We're about the same age, but I've managed to avoid getting killed
or seriously injured on several occasions, in spite of being a speed demon, dare-taker and daredevil ! My worst accidents/ illnesses have come close, but
I survived with minor injuries !

Got hit by a car about age 4 or 5, survived with bumps and
bruises ! Had the measles and mumps with no major issues, but
a bad case of whooping cough nearly got me at age 11 ! Bad fall at age 14 while rock-climbing
gave me life-long back problems and a severe concussion ! Nearly
drowned on several occasions, and nearly suffocated when deeply buried in snow-banks
twice ! Got my stomach pumped
after ingesting toxic plants, got hosed point-blank in the face
and chest at about five feet by a skunk, and wore a neck brace for two weeks after an accident that impacted and nearly broke my neck - barely missed getting
killed or paralyzed ! Fell through the ice while ice-fishing in 10°
weather - got serious case of hypothermia; teeth chattered so badly I nearly bit off the tip of
my tongue ! Been in a head-on collision once, broad-sided and rear-ended twice each, and had
to lay my motorcycle down at
35 mph to keep from broad-
siding the idiot who cut me off
by running a stop sign ! Needless to say, the moron got a 15-minute barrage of obscenities screamed in her face for that one !

Two accidents about two weeks apart while playing tennis in high school cured me of that game; I
was playing 'net' in doubles
games with friends both times ! First time, I caught an overhand smash right in the throat that severely bruised my esophagus and knocked me out; the second one hit me in the left eye and knocked it out of my eye socket ! That was my last tennis game !

In spite of these accidents/ illnesses and near-death
incidents, I managed to survive
all of it with just minor injuries !
Still drive like a bat-out-of-hell
speed-wise, but not recklessly,
and still somewhat of a daredevil, doing things that many people
wouldn't dare to try ! Either been extremely lucky or have been
living a charmed life, though it seldom felt that way !

Wait ! WHAAAT !?! I thought you WERE the Wizard ! At the risk of sounding like a certain politician,
I have to ask (again); will Dorothy be at the Meet 'n' Greet ? Inquiring
minds want to know !
