Hi guys looking to buy a 24 volt lithium battery maybe. these things range anywhere from $1600 to $600. Just trying to keep weight down in my boat also was wondering if anyone had any luck with these types of batteries. Thanks for your input šŸ‘

Whitey personally I can't justify the price to weight thing.

I've lost 10lbs n I could leave alot of gear at home.
I know they say they last 10yrs.
I average 5yrs on regular batteries.
4 in 10yrs still cheaper than one lithium.

Like everything in life personal preference brother šŸ‘

With what I just had to go through to change battery in my Tracker it's ALMOST worth it.

I've had 12 volt batteries that had one cell go bad n battery not much good after that.

Is that something that would happen to lithium?.
Never really researched them

I don't like the idea if the catch fire.
They say regular extinguisher won't work on them.

Have looked into ones for disability scooters for my pond boat.
Never to talk to my SIL.
He's been in a wheelchair for over 20 years.
Not sure if he's tried lithium yet or not.

Yep. Stood it on end, got a lift strap under it because there were no handholds, rotated it 90*, picked it up and pulled it out over the second battery upside down. And all they had to do was make the hatch one inch bigger to make it easy..

I would like a lithium battery but if I bought a regular battery every year for the next 10 years Iā€™d come out much cheaper, no lithium batteries for me any time soon

LifePO4 batteries are safe. Lithium batteries are very light and last 10-20 years depending on how you maintain them. check out LION energy.

Good to hear you got it done Jimmy, sometimes it makes you wonder who the engineers are building this stuff šŸ˜. Maybe smaller sized batteries would work better
