Just had a 4.8 magnitude earthquake , the epicenter was about 40 miles away.

Pretty wild, the origin was about 40 miles away or so in Lebanon, NJ. Windows shook a bit but no damage reported anywhere in the region. I think I’ll eat lunch and head out to the local waters to see if this seismic activity woke up the fish.

Yes. We’re 20 miles away & it was a strong shake for about 6-10 seconds. Near Round Valley Reservoir.

Haven’t felt a building shake like that since the WTC.

Hoping everyone is OK.

There has been swarm clusters of quakes around Columbia SC for months now. None over 2.5 I believe. Having lived out West for most of my life, quakes were almost "Common" A 4.8 will wake you up for sure. Be safe.

I remember having a mild quake in the Charleston S.C. back in the 80s. We were bowling at out couples league when it hit, everybody got a strike or spare on the auto score board.
