Don’t forget walking behind the truck and smashing his shin on the trailer hitch. Or when the trolling motor gets “unhitched” from the transom of the boat. Dance is the “king” of fishing bloopers and one heck of a sport to let it out there for our enjoyment.

That's me! I've been posting a lot about my lucky outcomes because I am so excited. Thanks for all the tips and encouragement. It's really a dream come true to catch these. I wanted to have a laugh at all the dumb mistakes I've made.

Day two I dragged my keel up the boat ramp. Fellow fisherman saved me from dragging all the way up.

Day 4 tried to put the boat in with my boat straps still on. It didn't work so well. Thank God because I didn't have the boat plug in either!

Got my first big bass to the boat but hadn't picked up a net yet. Lost em!

Lost many more due to inexperience in type and test of line.

The guys at Bass Pro know me by name cause I bird nest my baitcaster three times a week.

I have hooked every finger, my knee and my toe in my first two months of real hard fishing. Reminder to self. Invest in bandaids and antiseptic and Bass Pro.

Here are a couple from last night. The bite was unbelievable last night from 5:30-dark.

Keep at it Bro, your technique will improve eventually. The advice(s) about a checklist is just what ya need for now. As said, go through it it the exact same sequence each time and soon you'll be able to do it in your sleep.

Those Bill Dance vids are great. It's unlikely any other Pro fisherman would have the humility to release that stuff. Those bad boys are "funny" till ya do it yourself. My faves: slamming his tailgate on the rods & the best, when he leans over the edge of the dock with the battery , priceless.

Bill Dance and I use the same Dentist so I'll see him there sometimes and was told all those videos were real but most had to be reenacted. 😂

It’s called the “ School of Hard Knocks”. Hopefully we learn from our mishaps, with low cost and few injuries. Like the guys say. Get into a routine that starts as soon as you get out of the truck. Do it exactly the same every time. And then double check it. Now you’re sure. You’ll get to where you can do it in 2 minutes. As far as fishing techniques, research YouTube and put in the time. We’ve all been where your at… 🐟

Any time you are out fishing, it's always an adventure! It's either going to be a nice peaceful day of fishing or a hectic or disastrous one. LOL! That's why I love the sport. I can do with either scenario :-)

A tip to help stop birds nest. Don't "thumb" the line, thumb the side of the spool.
I put my drain plug with the ignition key. If it's there when I start the boat I know I forgot to install it.
