About a week ago, my wife came home from work coughing, short of breath and very tired. She went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray, two steroid shots and antibiotic. The x-ray showed a possible virus in the lung. She tested negative for Covid. A few days later, I got it. She seems to be improving but missed a week's worth of work.

The doctor wasn't sure what this is/was. The coughing is terrible. My ribs and back are sore. I'm sleeping mostly in a recliner.

If any of you have these symptoms and have breathing or respiratory issues separate from this virus. I would strongly urge you to get to a doctor. This is nothing to ignore. Just my two cents.

Had something similar for the last couple of weeks. Nit as severe as yours, but chronic coughing and congestion in the upper brochilles, post nasal drip and a short spell of chills and fever. Seems to be asking its time going away to.

There is a whopping cough epidemic sweeping across the U.S. right now. Sounds like you have the symptoms related to the virus. Did your Dr. check for it? Not to get political but the CDC is attributing it along with the recent measles outbreak to so many unvaccinated immigrants entering the country!

No, but if the coughing continues, it's on the top of the list.

Thanx for the tip. I have the same symptoms . I just talked to my Doctor & she said to come in, tomorrow and she'll see what's up. She suspects I have RSV, and will also test me for Covid, sez the newest Covid is lots worse than earlier mutations. I'll mention Whooping Cough to her. She's the kind of Doc who doesn't get offended when I ask her this kinda question. She's getting ready to retire, and I'm really gonna miss her.

That's what I've had for over two weeks now. Doc said to use DayQuil and NyQuil Severe for congestion and Flonase for the nasal congestion. I also used NielMed Nasal Flush for a few days, it is saline packets dissolved in distilled water. I'm still coughing a little but the nasal stuff is mostly gone and sore throat is gone. Hang in there, don't eat dairy and drink LOTS of fluids

I've also noticed if I lay down the congestion gathers worse than when I sit up. Just sharing my experience

Exactly what my wife had. Lastedsix weeks. The coughing was constant and horrible! Dr prescribed antibiotics and Prednisone but still persisted. She's much better now but has some residual coughing. Luckily I never got it.

They call it the 100 month cough. That's what it feels like.
