Well I met NoCal Steve yesterday morning at Lake Berryessa. We were on the water.by 7:30. Started out hitting some of our favorite spots. A little cold in the morning but warmed up nicely.not much action untill about 10am. In the next two hours we caught 8 nice smallies all between 2 &1/2 to 3 pounds. Boy those smallies put up a great fight! Then the bite totally shut down. Moved to various spots, but nothing happening. Of the water by 3pm. All fish were caught tossing a slow retrieved weighted Senkos and slow dragging Strike King worms.Still a great day. Just look at the smile on Steve’s face!

Thanks 40! Wish we were having our M&G at Berryessa next month. It would be the perfect combination of weather, fishing, and kicking it around the camp fire!

Totally agree! Great camping, fishing ,weather and no green Algee! Recent reports from Cal. Weather states the the Algee bloom will be on full bloom on Clearlake early summer due to high forecasted temps and high water level! They also stated the toxicity of the bloom can lead to a major fish kill! Remember the the major fish kills several years ago after we had a high water year and high temperatures!

Thanks Tim. Right now we are getting a late Winter storm keeping me off the water. Sucks! Lol

I know what that's like, there is no springtime in MT, lol. Usually about July turns to instant summer.
