You forgot the SUPERGLUE.
No the eggs in shell smoke right through the porous shells. I have done it 3 times so far. None have lasted long enough to make egg salad or deviled eggs.

I kept a small amount of salt in the palm of me left hand, I would pretend to blow on the large end of the egg and give it a quick lick. Then I would rub the end into the salt and finally stand the egg on the bar. Couldn't believe no one ever figured it out.
I have seen this done no moist finger just salt. Whatever works to save your money.
