Depends on what you’re fishing for…. Shad flies in April-June… stripers we used wrapped sardine nes… trout drift eggs or crawlers. It’s hard to fish from shore around Woodson Bridge as access is spotty.

I live out here off jellys ferry Rd and I catch steelhead and natives out here I'm nightcrawler with a Carolina rig. Also out by the diversion dam downtown even right by the River Park I've got stripers in trout there. I just use a Carolina rig with a leader and for the stripers cut bait and for a trout salmon eggs and nightcrawler knocks them dead.
