Sounds like you are trying to muscle the fish in. Try loosening your drag a little bit and wear the fish down

FF, that is a for sure on the picture. With or with out the closed season there will be a picture. However I saw the darn gill netters doing their thing this morning so he may be a restaurant menu item. That's a real bite they keep and we put back. Something fishy here in NC.
