Hello stagers,
A word of caution on this subject as it talks about one's funeral plans.
Please refrain from going sideways or getting morbid. That is not my intention.
On the day I am laid to rest I have requested that magicians from all over attend my funeral and preform one last time for me. In many cases I have already told them which trick I would like them to preform.
At the conclusion of the service my daughter will announce that one year from that date she will designate a restaurant for everyone to meet.
They are incouraged to wear the goofiest most outrageous costumes and wear them to the restaurant, and raise one final toast to Mud Head
( me ) and say goodbye
So I ask you. Do any of you already have your funeral plans written out in detail so your loved ones don't have to try and figure out what you would have liked?

Interesting subject.. I've often wondered who would show up at mine if I left this world today. Other than immediate family, would others actually show up or just mumble " 'magin that" ..

Guess it comes down to whether you have character.. or you've been a character.......

No funeral coming my way, hopefully the acceptance of my donated body will happen and cremation afterwards with the ashes being spread off a fishing pier at the spreaders liking.

And not a good bye to be said, more like a see you later.

Commander, I plan on having a funeral party if I get down to knowing it near the end πŸ˜‚ gonna put a big cookout and with lots good food, drinks, cakes, pies all the fixings and everyone will come just for the food probably, but at least I'll think that I have a lot of friends πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Chuck my BFF in NC had one of those. Unfortunately he could not attend physically, but everyone there visited him bedside while others partied outside his home.

It may sound morbid, it was a sad but yet a happy day celebrating one's life.

Bob, I've always been kidding Kay about that, but really may be a good thing cause I know where my eternal life will be in the end of my journey here πŸ™πŸ™

Sounds like a little truth in jest Chuck.

What better way to celebrate the years behind us than to be at a party in our honor, all while being aware that the alternative is not that far away after receiving news we are never ready for.

I told my daughter 2 do the Eulogy. Two friends 2, 1 from the University & the other a Fraternal Bro. Possible 1 in the same.

Commander, what's the effect?

Or how old you are when you die.
I had a 36 year old friend who died in his sleep. 450 people attended his funeral. Some of his great grandparents were still alive.

Maybe you should try to pick the day based on the weather prediction. It would be a farewell present to all.
And please add to the festivities someone in the end saying……
Commander Bell out!
And maybe muffle a ringing bell right after.
