I sorry that you are unable to flyfish; my be if some of the young ones find an interest, you can teach them and you will able to flyfish withthem in a another way. Take care and Peace be with you.

You can use any multi piece fly fishing rod.The action will be affected by how many pieces though.I have a few back pack rods for different situations.Learn to cast with all different rods before you venture out or pay the price with wasted time.Sensitivity is sacrificed with each added section.

If the rod is built properly you should not see a difference in action or sensitive no matter how many pieces.
Your hands are not that sensitive that you can tell the difference in sensitivity between a two piece and multi piece fly rods.
