Dave, you were a bad boy with that shrimp. I'm sure the Doc told ya about that kinda
stuff & also organ meats. If ya get lucky, like me, Allopurinal just might let ya slip up OCCASIONALLY. Allo takes a long time to kick in, so if ya use that, going forward, be patient & keep the Colchicine ready to go.
I've been able to cautiously reduce my Allo to 150 mg/daily. Been OK this way with only very infrequent attacks, but thats just me, ask the Doc.

Now that I take a different one daily, I rarely have any Gout attacks, but when ever I do maybe in 3 or 4 years, I stop momentarily and I take Colchizine which fixes the gout and I go back to my Alimperinol. Colchizine is a bad MED so you have to be careful with it. Heck, I watched a program about a murder, I think Forensic files and that is what someone used to kill another person with an over dose of it. Sorry for the spelling error on the meds. To lazy to go to the cupboard to look at the bottles.

Yeah, you are right about colchizine,it feels like murder! No worries about spelling these meds,I think when they ge a new medicine ,they play scrabble to name it!
