Yes Jeremy you can get the water out of the boat by running the boat wide open but you can not put the plug in while the boat is running wide open.

Nope ya gotta shut it down jump in fast and stick the landing.
I am about 70, boat by myself, did the same one time, took a water proof maker, wrote next to key 🔑, plug in??? I was watching water 💦 coming out of the automatic pump discharge hole walking back from the truck. Installed a new 1” automatic pump! Can’t run no mow! Had a toe cut off!
I went duck hunting and couldn’t find the plug a 12 gauge shell worked pretty good
I had a little 14’ Lund
Taken in water
started it up went out on the lake opened up the throttle (goin forward) pulled the plug and the water went out the plug hole
put it back in ( while movin ) was good for the best part of the day 😰
First time I ever did it scared the bejeebers outta me
Do it at your own risk

I believe if you go faster than 7 miles per hour, the water will drain out rather than come in.
My boat doesn't have a plug so I've never had that problem.
