New 5 wt fly rod. First cast ever hooked what is easily my PB small mouth. The guy hit a #16 prince nymph. Took awhile to get him to the net. Glad I wasn’t using my 3 wt.

No weight. Don’t have a scale but he felt like 3 or 4 lbs.
