My roomie knew her older sister so we invited them to a Thanksgiving Party , when I tried holding her hand at the party ,she threw me off , ! I was 25 , she was 19 in her 2nd year at College of the Sequoias, the lighting bolt hit me brother ! We've been married 39 years now ! She tamed me 😁🤙👍🙏well most of the time,,,,,,,,,

Well, Warren Air Force Base was crawling with new second lieutenants all there for training. After I went through training for Procurement officers, I was assigned to the Base Procurement office. Other than not having a lot to do, it was interesting to see how things worked. Just Sayin...RJS

What is training like in the Air Force Robert?

Well, I cannot speak for all training, but what I went through wasn't any different than a college classroom.

The interesting part was our instructers had flown and most had fought air battles with German pilots in europe or Japanese in the Pacific. How ever most of the Pacific was done by the Navy.
There was some great stories of aerial combat. Just Sayin...RJS

One instructor told about flying on a sortie over France and noticing he was low on fuel, he headed back toward the Channel.

But he saw that there were two Messerschmits, ME 109s had spotted
him and intended on shooting him down.

He could have outran them if he had a full tank of gas, but he was so low that wasn't an option.

So he dropped down and flew through streets of a town, and dodging with the streets was able to lose the pursurers!

Once we got a pilot on his war stories, that was the entire class, they could not resist telling war stories. Just Sayin...RJS
