Okay MEM are you going to give us a clue where in Florida the monsters are located. Not that we want your spot, but can you share the waters. I myself was stationed in Destin back in the day, but I will assume you are further south.

The bad part is that she may fish the rest of her life trying to top this one. Great catch! I've been trying to top a 9 1/2 pound large mouth bass for over 30 years. I'm not gonna give up. There has to be a dumb one out there somewhere.

I know what you mean not to give up. I had 14 trout on top water last Friday and ever since the normal 2 or 3 has been it. But not giving up, 15 is next.

I’m thinking the other way around. Now I carry a size 22 fly fishing hook and a matching tipit. I’m trying to catch as record micro fish. So far I’ve caught a 1 and 1/2 inch fully mature male brook trout, hooked kype and all. It was in a tiny feeder stream that fed into a reservoir.
