Your garden is looking good Troy 👍 Dark lookin soil 🤗

Thank you. The soil here is rich and dark. Just a small amount of fertilizer and lime and it will grow as long as it gets water. The area I live in ( inland) is called Indian Springs. They say that there are Springs everywhere underneath the ground.

Dave, I remember when my BIL was stationed at Bremerton, he tried to grow tomatoes. So much rain they rotted before they could make fruit

Yeah, jimmy. A lot of rain and and not much sunshine. What we grow the best is moss and wild ferns. And a lot of Douglas firs. I’m just around the corner from Bremerton… 🐟on

Right on 👍 did you drive a pipe in for a water well. The old guy that used to own my river lot drove pipe in for wells on all three of his river lots

So very true. He told me if I brought a tractor he would buy the tiller. Well I luckily found a deal Farmall 140 with all the attachments. I called him and he came over. He saw the disc and the attachments and said you don’t need a tiller you have a disc. LOL. He actually got the chance to play with it before he passed. We planted an entire huge garden. It started to pop up. He got sick and went to the hospital. Met a guy who loves gardening and been with me ever since. God always provide. He was also my fishing buddy.

The Farmall is a sweet little tractor. Back in the 90’s I had a completely restored 1938 Farmall F12 wide front end row crop. Hand crank start. Use to take it to shows and parades. A lot of fun to putt around on. Ended up selling it to my exBIL… 🐟on

No there was a well here but I took it out and now I wish I had left it in to water my lawn and detail vehicles. Certainly thinking of putting one back in

When I was a kid our house had a driven well. We hit good drinking water at about 20 feet. Later we drove two more point wells to about 22 feet. We ran a jet pump and the water went out through four big rain bird heads from 2 inch pipe. We could water about an acre in 30 minutes.
