Good morning Stagers. 56 now cloudy with light fog. High is 75 with more rain later tonight. Little garden is doing really well. Spraying for bugs today. 2 rows each of collars, broccoli and cabbage. Have done the big pea field yet. Planning to work that one next week once it drys off. The closer bigger garden has 2.5 rows of red potatoes.5 row of onions. Planning to plant butter beans and corn there. The sea mullet aka whitings have begin to run so hopefully I get get out Thursday. Providing the winds are in agreement. Have a great wonderful day. Be safe out there.

Good morning Troy and everyone. Your garden looks great Troy.
38° and raining here, going up to 50° with clouds and showers all day. Good day to stay inside. Safe travels to Leo and Marion, and good luck to anyone getting out today. Be safe everybody.

Good morning all. Troy, you’re garden soil looks really good, appears you’ve amended it with some good organics. I think I’m going to let my vegetable garden idle this year. Between the raccoons, rabbits, groundhogs and deer I’ve been getting wiped out. Even though I installed an electric fence the deer simply jump it, guess KD have to jack it up from its current 5 foot height to around 7 or 8’ to deter them. Hope everyone has a great day.

7mm mag deters them better😉

The way your garden looks I thought you were in CA, AZ or FL. I don’t plant anything until after Easter. Temps are still in lower 30s at night. I love peas but they don’t do well here. Gets too hot for them too soon.

It’s the onions collar’s and broccoli and cabbage which does good in cold weather and will last forever. The rest will go in the ground Easter Monday.

I think you missed the state park section😄😄. The deer, I think I can keep out. You just hVe to be higher than the fences near you. Keeping the ground hogs out takes chicken wire around the bottom of the fence. For the mouse sized voles, I've git a couple if mouse baits out. That eliminates 90% of the problem.

I couldn’t either until my dad taught me. I do miss him so much. Last year this time we were planting and breaking new ground for the gardens. We lost him on 09 May last year.

Sorry for your loss, Troy. My Dad’s day is drawing near also. And he too will be greatly missed. I’m sure you speak with your Dad as you tend your garden. I’ll bet he’s there with you… 🐟on

So very true. He told me if I brought a tractor he would buy the tiller. Well I luckily found a deal Farmall 140 with all the attachments. I called him and he came over. He saw the disc and the attachments and said you don’t need a tiller you have a disc. LOL. He actually got the chance to play with it before he passed. We planted an entire huge garden. It started to pop up. He got sick and went to the hospital. Met a guy who loves gardening and been with me ever since. God always provide. He was also my fishing buddy.

Sure. If it’s possible I will mail them. Of course you can come so we can fish Virginia Creek. The reds run deep in there and very easy to catch. The last pic is an oyster bed they are walking distance. You can get all you want.

Dave, I remember when my BIL was stationed at Bremerton, he tried to grow tomatoes. So much rain they rotted before they could make fruit
