Kinda looks like a big round circle with no vegetation around it.

Never tried Henshaw, looks like a really boring lake to me.
Why does it look boring? You ever fish it ?

Your right about that , the story is it was a large lake in it's day and known for it's Crappie and Bass.
My son fished it twice last year waded out in his waders and caught some nice bass and Crappie.
He now has a smaller Bass Tracker with a 25horse Mercury that he is going to use on it this year.
The camp grounds are nice and they have small cabins also.
The café has great food and service arrest breakfast there, and attached to the restaurant is a little store with fishing tackle.
I've eaten there several times when I have been down their Turkey hunting, with my son.
There are bass and Crappie mounts other walls and in the little store.
I plan on going this spring to Turkey hunt and really fish the lake for bass on a weekend.
Good luck when you get out with your boat.
Hope to meet you some time when I go down to see the kids on the weekends when we go down there is never enough time.
Have a great week
