Was trying to to clean up some things on my PC and came across this picture I took many years ago in Fiji. Was of a local fisherman fishing. Shot it through a porthole from the boat we were on. I know you folks like photos, so here is one of my best. Hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful photo

It was intentional. I was below deck on a sailing vessel and saw it out of the porthole and ran to get my camera. Couldn't pass it up. Save it chief, glad you enjoyed it. I have another picture from this trip that would have won me a trip around the world but did not submit it.

You have a good eye for composition. If that picture had been taken above deck it would be a beautiful sunset, but taking it through the port elevated it a thousand percent. Composition is everything.

So it could potentially actually be a periscope view that nobody knew existed?

Nope
At least in the "old days" we couldn"t turn off the crosshair targeting reticle. Altho this could be a photoshop.......in which case I have a few pictures that might benefit from that magic

Cool picture, I worked at a Air Base and was their license electrician for the the facilities and runway lightning. I got to see lots of stuff that the public doesn't and I was allowed to keep my camera with me only for the uses of what my job consisted of I new better than to take any pictures of anything else. They must not been so strict back then when you took that picture or you had permission to have it!!!
Anyway my wife paints wildlife and sunsets so she'll love this one.
Thanks

Thanks Chuck. We were on a sailboat cruising a few of the offshore islands. So, no military base involved in the picture. Actually, it was pretty close to where Blue Lagoon was filmed.

I was told at one time it was very large.
Known for it's crappie and bass.
