I’ve never fished Milton hill lake, I have fished below the Milton hill dam and caught striper and smallmouth, but only for the fun of fishing, the fish there are heavy contaminated and not safe to be eaten, the white bass moving up the clinch river and Bull run creek would come from the waters of Milton hill lake waters, are they safe to eat? Do you know? do you eat them? i like to eat both crappie and white bass that I catch, I’ve looked down at the Clinch river many times as I cross it on I-75 but never fished that area, I like and do fish the upper Clinch that feeds into Norris lake, it is such a beautiful river.

TDEC advises against consuming catfish out of Melton Hill Lake. I kind of butted in there, but I have eaten perch out of there and wanted to know the answer. My apologies.

Not a problem brother, I don’t know either and would like for someone to chime in that knows, I have herd and read the sign posted below Milton dam not to eat the fish from there, but the water above Milton dam would be different, I’ve never fished above the Milton dam and don’t know myself,

I think most of the fish out of there should be fine to eat. Usually when it’s bad to eat catfish, it’s bad to eat carp also. TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation) didn’t mention anything except catfish. I am going to try to run down there next weekend, if good weather, and do some fishing below the steam plant, Bull Run(?), which is upstream from Oak Ridge. I’m thinking it should be fine up there.

thanks for the input, I’ve read about fishing below the steam plant but never tried it, what are you going to be fishing for if you go next week, good luck.

Probably some yellow perch, and black bass. Might catch a striper. Whatever I can coax into biting.
I'll eat the white Bass and pan fish and have many times. And I'll eat the trout below the dam. I haven't taken any striper or catfish. The no consumption order is for catfish but IDK if I'd eat the striper either.
I'm heading up to Earl's Hollow on Powell this morning. Walleye and maybe white bass if I get into them. I'll let you know.
I'd like to fish the upper clinch, I hear it's great fishing.
Now is a great time to fish the clinch below the dam at Miller's Island, TVA has been running 1 generator at most. Zero generator is excellent for trout fishing and you can get into some walleye also around Miller's Island. More to follow

Good luck to you and be safe. I know nothing about the upper end of Norris, which is sort of ridiculous because I drive to Andersonville to go to Stardust.
It’s been to windy for me to go fishing for the last week or so, but a friend of mine notified me yesterday afternoon, he didn’t let the wind stop him, he caught his limit of 15 white bass on the head waters of Cherokee lake, the Holston river, in Tn. Hope this report helps someone put a few in the boat!
