Today's trivia question what is the smallest fish ever caught on rod and reel.
The answer is a 2.4 inch Black Nosed Dave. What makes it the world 🌎 record is it's girth and weight. It was caught by Andy Pelphrey, the fish was .9 inches round and weighted 0.008 pounds that translates to
0.128 ounces or slightly more than 1/10 of a ounce.
Most people don't have scales that record that small of a weight, however I do still have mine from my naughty years.
Today's trivia guestion?
What is the largest species of bass? It's overall length? And weight?
I want to thank you very much for not giving into the temptation to look these answers up, but that is what makes it fun.

Today's trivia question what is the smallest fish ... (
show quote)
This would be easily eclipsed. I'm not gonna do it, but a # 26 or so hook, a tiny piece of power bait, crappie nibbles, popcorn, etc., anywhere there's shiners or dace, and you'll be in the record book. Good Luck threading the hook......
I'm going to go with a Sea Bass and my other total guess is 550lbs.

Congratulations NoCal,
The crown is yours. You came the closest to the correct answer.
The Giant Sea Bass can reach over 8 feet in length and over 700 lbs.
Tomorrow's question is simple.
There seems to be a loss of interest in this subject. So the vote is up to you. Shall I continue Fishing Trivia, or give it a rest?
